For a healthy mental environment.

Help support Adbusters's lawsuit against major Canadian broadcasting corporations and protect freedom of speech and freedom of the press. If they succeed, possibilities of similar lawsuits may arise in the States.

WHY?!

Our minds have become a virtual dumping ground of pollutants — manipulative ads, distorted news, untold violence, spin and hype. We can cope with the media onslaught to a degree. But all signs suggest that the cumulative effects of this toxic culture — on our stress levels, our moods, our relationships, our worldviews, even our mental health — could become one the most pressing issues of our generation.*

WHAT TO DO:

Sign here and support the Mental Environment Movement. (I swear it takes one minute to do.)

Like the rest of Adbusters Magazine, the Media Carta, supports meaningful advertising for a healthy mental environment free of materialistic, sex-driven, mind-cluttering advertisements--at least outdoors? Instead, Adbusters emphasize the up and coming power of the consumer. Cities like São Paulo, Brazil have already adopted a healthier mental environment, eliminating all outdoor billboards and advertisements from residential neighborhoods, isolating key areas for advertising.
