Who gives a fuck about an Oxford Comma?
I tried to write a post about New York band Vampire Weekend but failed miserably after trying to sound like I know a thing or two about music. The fact is, I don't. The best I can do is call something catchy and melodic, and that's usually the kind of pop music I like. This doesn't fare well for any ambitions I may have of entering the field of music journalism, but either way, I don't mind sharing the music I enjoy.
Vampire Weekend started in 2006 among four Columbia University undergrads. Since then, they've been busy playing gigs around New York City. With Paul Simon-esque pop melodies and African rhythms, they play the kind of irreverent indie pop that tony liberal arts college kids dance to.

Catchy indeed. I actually remember this, and that's saying something considering my poor memory.
